2050: Oddly Robbie Looks Ahead

So… 2050.

If you’re 60 now and your parents are still alive — that’s where you’ll be.

If you just finished high school today, you’ll be sending your own kids off to college.

This isn’t Star Trek time. 🚀

This is your lifetime.

Who Am I to Talk About This?

Not a futurist. Not a Hollywood writer. Definitely not a billionaire with a rocket hobby.

I’m me. Oddly Robbie.

60 years old. Living in southern Spain in a place called Andalusia — where the language has its own swing and paperwork requires… paperwork for your paperwork.

And guess what? I did all that with AI. ✍️🤖

See, I’m autistic. Which doesn’t mean I’m not smart. It means the way people usually explain things doesn’t match the way I learn.

AI? That’s my translator. My daily co-pilot. The way I finally get the world in my language.

Oh, and I’ve been journaling since I was 16. 📓 That’s four decades of real-world data I’ve been feeding into AI. Think of it as my time machine.

Forget the Hollywood Doom

You know those movies with crying robots and wars for water?

Yeah… no.

2050 isn’t dystopia.

It’s ordinary life, made extraordinary.

What’s Coming

• Resources 🌍

AI will make trade fair. Food, goods, energy — routed smartly, shared efficiently. Fighting for stuff? Pointless.

• Medicine 💊

No more “one size fits all.” Your treatment will be designed for your body. Tested first on an AI model of you. No guinea pigs, no guessing. Almost free.

• Healthspan ⏳

If you’re healthy at 60, you might just stay 60. Not immortal, not 20 again (thank goodness) — just extended prime time.

• Memory 🧠

Forget something important? Restore it. Like pulling up a backup file.

• Vision 👁️

Your optic nerve might plug into a drone. Fly under the sea, soar above the clouds — and see it as naturally as you see from your own eyes. No joystick required.

• Identity 🙋‍♂️

Me? I don’t want to look 20 again. Been there, done that. Keep me 60, thanks. No more being called “kid.” 😂

The Bigger Horizon

By the time we hit 2050, we’ll already be peeking at 2075.

And trust me: our brains today can’t even imagine what’s waiting out there.

That’s not scary.

That’s exciting.

Because the future isn’t doom.

It’s possibility.

✨ That’s my Oddly Robbie look ahead. What do you see when you imagine 2050?
